Chroma-Chameleon!

We have recently taken delivery of 2 new pieces of software that we hope will help us to revolutionise children's skills in digital storytelling and movie-making. One is 3d computer animation program from Australia called Kahootz which pupils can use to build imaginary worlds and animate characters, sounds and objects just like movies like Toy Story. The other is a new video editting package that allows pupils, using chroma-key or green screen technology to super-impose themselves on any background they want. It could be a sunny beach, a New York street or even a martian landscape created using Kahootz.

Children's ability to work with and analyse the moving image is an important part of today's culture. We think this will increase pupils engagement with learning and boost their skills.
