The CLC has just completed work on its new room! The existing “Room 2” has been transformed over summer 2008 into an exciting new learning environment.
The new room has no fixed desks, and no desktop computers – instead it uses foldable, stackable furniture, and mini laptops to give students a change to experience new ways of learning.
Teachers with innovative ideas will have the floor and desk space to do new activities that wouldn’t be possible in a regular IT room.
The room still features the latest IT technology – with a collection of ultra portable laptops, power laptops, and a number of Quad-core PC’s for group work.
Some of the past projects that would work great in the new room include – “green screen” movie production, animation and “claymation”, drama based activities, podcasting and radio production, mediascape…
The CLC still features a desktop based teaching room – but if you have any ideas for the new room, let us know!
